Organically Grew Follows to Over 10,000 in One Year

In one year page engagements grew from 43K to over 235K, followers grew from  2K to over 10K and clicks from 36K to over 211K.

The Challenge

Next Move Healthcare had virtually no social media presence on Facebook, with less than 2,000 followers. and no budget at that time for paid ads.  

The primary goals were to drive lead generation, increase engagement, and leverage social media for brand growth.

The Solution

To foster community and engagement, we launched a Facebook Group for the travel nurses we hired, which grew from 0 to 3,000 members in under three years. We also focused on engaging content such as:

  • Nurse testimonials and case studies showcasing earnings.

  • Offering free resources like a travel nurse resume template and a nurse pay calculator, which calculated take-home pay based on unique tax situations.

  • Educational content on securing high-paying contracts and negotiating benefits (e.g., block scheduling tips).

  • Running interactive campaigns like "Nominate a Nurse" during Nurses Week, where the winning nurse received a vacation or $5,000.

  • Hosting merchandise giveaways and contests to keep the community engaged

  • Following trends & engaging the community with a little humor

Additionally, we implemented strategies to boost Facebook follows through consistent content creation, strategic use of hashtags, and positive engagement with other nurses and nursing groups on the platform. 

Results

Within one year, our social media efforts resulted in a substantial increase in engagement:

  • Page engagements grew from 43K to over 235K

  • Likes rose from under 2K to over 10K

  • Clicks increased from 36K to over 211K

Tools & Platforms Utilized

To support these efforts, I utilized a variety of tools, including:

  • Facebook Creator Studio, and Facebook Business Manager for content planning and ad campaigns.

  • YouTube Studio, Buffer, Canva for video and graphic creation.

  • RivalIQ, SEMRush, and Databox for analytics, reporting, and competitive analysis.

This integrated social media strategy significantly contributed to Next Move's online visibility and engagement in the travel nursing industry.
